SAB and New Leaf bring back mod & dorm composting

Students can now request a compost bin for their dorm or mod

CORRECTION: A previous version of this article erroneously stated that the composting program was limited to mods. Since the composting program’s revival, it has been expanded to include residents in the dorms as well. Leapfrog regrets the error, and the article below has been updated to reflect the change.

Feb. 28 — The Student Advocacy Board’s Forestry and Sustainability Representative, Bridget Ronning, F22, and New Leaf, are restarting the mod compost program.

Compost collection sites have been set up near the dumpsters in both Prescott and Enfield, and mod residents can now request a compost bin for their mod. While the program was originally limited to students living in modules, it has since been expanded to the dorm halls as well.

Requests are taken on a rolling basis, and can be made here.
Questions, comments, concerns, and suggestions about the composting program can be directed to Bridget Ronning at bbr22@hampshire.edu.
