Oct. 18 — The Hampshire College Board of Trustees is meeting on campus this weekend, coinciding with Friends and Family Weekend.
The Board of Trustees governs Hampshire College, and are responsible for approving the budget and developing the school’s policies. Among its voting members are a student trustee, Jess Lin Jimenez, F21; a faculty trustee, Professor of Music Becky Miller; and a staff trustee, Director of Advancement Services, Renee Sweeney.
While they are on campus for their meeting, they have two pre-arranged appearances where members of the campus community can come and talk with them.
On Friday, October 18th, from noon to 1pm, the trustees will be at the Dining Commons eating lunch. Later on Friday, from 4pm to 6pm, the trustees will be under the Solar Canopy with snacks and refreshments to mingle with students and their families.
Trustees largely live away from Hampshire and and work day jobs, on top of their duties as trustees, so this is important to make student voices heard.
