The Hampshire Leapfrog is an independent student newspaper at Hampshire College, by students, for students. Leapfrog was founded by student Blaise Paine F23 and put its first issue to print on September 4, 2024.

Mission Statement

  • To inform the Hampshire College community of campus news and affairs through a student lens via an accessible and independent student newspaper.
  • To serve as a newspaper of record for the Hampshire College community, a primary source for college history.
  • To build and support a culture of productive and ethical discourse on campus.
  • To support and aid the creation and distribution of other student publications.
  • To serve as a conduit between the student body and administration.
  • To build community awareness and unity.
  • To combat rumor, misinformation, and disinformation on campus.
